With a balanced group, most important is keeping him/her from casting spells interrupts are the key to defeating Rotscale.

Remember you'll be dealing with his little dragon buddies that keep QZ up, and can interupt.

To fight Rootscale, I recommend:

It is guaranteed to remove all roots in the first application, or your money back!

^^^is that a green drop?^^^

~sorry...had to say it.

Best bet is a group heavy on rangers and mesmers...but any group willing to be patient can do it. Call targets and focus fire-power on one at a time while vigilant healers care for tanks and EVERYONE brings a good self heal and res.

I did it with lvl 15 henchies with my first ranger a couple months after release...since then, it's gotten a wee bit more difficult<-----understatement of the day.

Killing him with henchies is actually pretty easy, but I suppose it would depend on what prof. you're using.

And remember our buddy Rotscale will shatter enchantments quite painfully. So monks need to leave that type of healing out of their build. Eles need to leave attunements out as well. This enchantment shatter, along with QZ from Rot's buddies are nightmare for energy management. This is why rangers and mesmers help here. It's a lot of work for 1 possible bow drop. I don't know if anyone has figured out his health yet, but it is HUGE....

yup...died A-LOT!!! No way to buy back DP then, either...or get the +3 regen at the shrine. It was a kinder, simpler Rotscale back then...*heavy sigh*...I went in with my original "crowd control" ranger...Barrage, Ignite Arrows, Choking Gas (not my dad and his beer-farts, contrary to conventional wisdom), Dual Shot, Whirling D., Storm Chaser, Troll Ungent and res. I stepped away from that R/Mo in favor of an R/N build...had I known my first character deletion would cost me a 4 month wait for a mini-pet...but I digress. Took about an hour to clear the bone dragons and another 30 min or so to do in Rotscale...the bugger's a bit tougher now and even with smarter henchies these days, I'd take real folk...go with folks you know and trust who won't leave...
